Who we are
ScholarPetition is a software product that helps academic researchers prepare draft EB-1A and EB-2 NIW petition packages. It is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice.
What we collect
- Account data: email, workspace name, role.
- Scholar profile: name, field, institution, education, employment history, country of birth and nationality.
- Evidence you upload: CV, publication lists, citation reports, awards, grant letters, peer-review and editorial invitations, and any other supporting documents.
- Drafting artifacts: AI-generated recommendation letters and petition letters tied to your application.
How we use it
We use your data only to operate the product: parse evidence, map it to USCIS regulatory criteria, draft recommendation and petition letters, and assemble a filing packet. When you engage an attorney through our marketplace, that attorney sees only the data tied to your engagement with them.
We do not sell your data, share it with other scholars, or use it to train third-party models.
Where it lives
Documents are stored encrypted at rest in Cloudflare R2. Download URLs are presigned and expire after 15 minutes. Application data lives in a managed Postgres database with row-level tenant isolation — cross-tenant access is impossible by construction.
Your choices
You can delete your workspace at any time, which permanently removes every document and database row associated with it. We retain backups for 30 days for disaster recovery, after which the data is purged.
